The Uris Trinity: Father, Son, and Trophy Wife

Growing up as the son of the world-renowned novelist Leon Uris had its challenges. At the age of one, he was kidnapped in Hollywood, and later evacuated from Israel during the Suez Crisis. Throughout his childhood, he faced threats from Arab nations and French assassins, as intrigue and imagination filled his days, causing him to lose touch with reality.

At the age of fifteen, he found himself unintentionally crossing moral boundaries with his father’s trophy wife, resulting in the destruction of three lives. Left to face life without his mentor, he found solace in the darker aspects of his nature.

In an attempt to mend their strained relationship, Leon invited his son on a global research trip that included visits to Austria, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. This marked the beginning of an incredible journey that would either repair or further damage their relationship.
